Costa Brava! Around the sea. Day 12. Tamariu - Saint Martin Empúries

Wednesday 17 November. Gone are
weather forecasts. Today's predictions say that I will forward a window of three days I will, when there are no setback, get Llançà on Friday afternoon, quietly.
Today, I intend to get to Sant Martí d'Empúries. Toca do a bunch of miles and move one of the densest areas in terms of beauty is concerned the Costa Brava.

Just outside the walls of Tamariu found that will lead to the area Xelida Aigua Creek. Corners lit by the morning sun show an impressive brightness ...

... and the creek itself Aigua Xelida, affected by a collapse that make it a place not so good for the overnight ...

In this day, the inertia of previous day brings a swell of gregarious little excited. Not a good company to enjoy the beauty of the Costa Brava brutal offers in the section that follows ...

Aigua
From the cove to the beach Xelida Aiguablava find the caves of La Gavina, Bisbe and most impressive of them all La Cave d'en Gispert. All of them can be visited as long as the accompanying sea state. And today will not be that day. The sea tells me to look the caves from the outside and I venture to break into, especially considering that I sail alone. Here are some photos showing the entrance to some of the caves mentioned in particular the first two ...

The third, the cave d'en Gispert, find it near from Aiguablava more .... hidden in one of these walls ...

Anyway, I decide not to approach the entrance and put directly into the Cape of Begur. Soon I have at the Parador Aiguablava and located in that ...

and clearly and the Cape of Begur, which defines the influence from the prevailing winds from the north to those prevailing under it, in the south, southeast or southwest ...

left behind Soon after the Cape of Begur, almost touching the fingertips ...

and thus appears to me the outline of what awaits me the rest of today and tomorrow ...

I walk to the beautiful beaches of Aiguafreda and Sa Tuna. It is a curious contrast between the monstrosity of the massive cap Sa built on the Salt, which dominates the entrance to both coves ...

to the beauty of Sa Tuna ...

and Aiguafreda ...

From here turn in a first step to reach the beach of Sa Riera ...

... a unique viewpoint to the Medes Islands, the beaches of Pals, the walls of L'Estartit and the massif of Montgrí ...

from Sa Riera put the direct route to the port of L'Estartit. Olivier expected me there. After leaving the adventure comes to collect keys that allow you to recover some of the things we had saved our departure Llançà. At noon I go out on the beach where precisely it was clear that Olivier and I would separate our ways ...

Once here stay with Olivier meet again in Sant Marti d'Empúries. I returned the keys and take the opportunity to have dinner and talk over and installation of our respective views of what happened. I have to go! Is a good stretch to Sant Martí and if I'll finish getting sidetracked with night falling ...

Leaving the Medes Islands, I approach the beautiful bay and Foradada Pedrosa. My intention was not to land in Cala Pedrosa but the batteries in the GPS say their last word and I stand on it to change. I called attention greatly batteries have endured so many days. A pair of lithium batteries second generation of Energizer house allowed me to navigate a full 10 days, with GPS navigation on while setting waypoints on the destinations final. Compared with the two and a half days, three day basic alkaline batteries, the improvement is very important. Here is a picture of the cove Pedrosa ...

Leaving here, far away, and you can see the north end of the Gulf of Roses, Cape Cavall Norfeu and Bernard!

And here at the entrance to the Foradada, shortly after ...

It's too late. The stop in cala Pedrosa has made me lose precious minutes and probably come in the night and dominating Sant Martí d'Empúries. I have to hurry. Ahead, the walls Montgo ...

Tower that dominates the entrance to the cove of the same name ...

And shortly after Riells beaches of L'Escala, and very close to the final destination in Sant Marti ...

Through the night and get up to Sant Martí. No more pictures. Olivier expected me there and had dinner at a restaurant in the central square of Sant Martí. We talked long and hard but our views of what happened are very distant. Our friendship will not be hurt but we are clear that we are not compatible in an expedition this type. One of the goals I set at the beginning of the adventure and have a clear answer: Olivier can not be my friend in Corsica. I have to plan looking for a new partner or by planning alone and take some ground support. Today, I see the most feasible solution. We will see in the future! :) Here

leave the map of your route ...

And here the slide with photos of the day ...

A hug to everyone! See you tomorrow! :)

Buy All Nighter Woodstove

Costa Brava! Around the Sea. Day 11. One day in dry in Tamariu.

Monday night to Tuesday, November 16 has been quite cold.
In November, you know, sooner or later we ran into a first dip in temperatures, which reminds us that winter is approaching.
Luckily I slept covered! :) I thank Salva, John and Margaret. All of them carry on the restaurant Rodondo here in Tamariu. I have been allowed to sleep in the covered terrace outside the restaurant and avoid the bivouac on the beach.
The wooden floor is grateful to everyone in this condition! :) Thanks for all Save! Jordi! and Margarida! :)

The cassola arròs the previous day was exquisite but no less delicious dishes have been today. The day was sunny, clear and quite windy. Projections showed a north-F6 to keep most of the day. Save and Jordi, fishermen also tell me that Cape Begur cerquita the thing is "fun." So! A sunbathing!

Here I am next to the creek, resting the food and letting the sun go slowly while getting a little browning my skin:)
The day is long and gives to talk to many people. These days, next to the restaurant is a couple who have come from Font-Romeu for a few days and fish in the creek quietly. A charming couple, Perpignan Catalan name it and Ogier, Catalan de Palafrugell her ...
Here "fished" Ogier fun with fishing items:)

There was also time to capture spaces of the cove ...

... and clear! a photo to The Blue Sea too:)

Today

sleep again Rodondo covered in the restaurant.
The weather on this day said that, if there is not any problem or need to work, I will arrive in three days Llançà. The first day I plan to finish Sant Martí d'Empúries. The second one in the vicinity of Cap de Creus and the last touch and reach, quietly, Llançà! :)

Today, of course, no graphic map ...

But if you slide! :)

Hastaaaaaa
morning!! :)

Costa Brava! Around the Sea. Day 10. Sant Antoni de Calonge - Costa Brava Tamariu

Start the week is Monday 15 November.
Jesus, Sun and fustian goodbye to me once we got to the Blue Sea of \u200b\u200breservoirs in the bar. I'm back in one of the beaches of Sant Antoni, seeing the silhouette of the town of Palamos and its port. The day looks cold. Probably the rain with me much of the road.

I threw the water at about ten o'clock. The bow directly at the mouth of Port ...

In port, the occasional freighter that had been waiting much of the previous day to enter, go slowly eased its wineries. Eliseu, the day before, he explained that the freighter was delaying entry into port by a simple question of dock fees. It seems that the downloads, on Sunday evening, are more expensive than other days ...

I cross the entrance to the port without problems and I stop for a moment, watching the street lamp post. Has its charm right?

From here I move decisively. The sky as threatening as nice, mercury becomes at times a reflection of the water. Leave behind the beaches of La Fosca and Castell and begin to glimpse the islets of Formigues ...

The sea is somewhat scrambled. Forecasts indicate that later I will not be adequate to continue browsing. No hurry. I'll have all week to complete the adventure. The peace and quiet with me in the enjoyment of bluish gray that accompany the rain ...
I approach the islets of Formigues taking care to separate a couple of hundred meters from the coast. The area is full Rocky knife protruding just inches from the surface. The small foam breakers are witness to it. In the background people are looming in Calella de Palafrugell and the port of Llafranc ...

Paso
something away from the coast of Calella de Palafrugell. My intention is to spend the rest of the day and decide Llafranc put directly over here ...

Within minutes I stand in front of the port of Llafranc ...

Llafranc itself has a special charm. In these days when most of the people of the Costa Brava show his usual desertification autumn, some are reluctant to lose all activity. When I set foot on land and in the central square is the odd truck loading. Just this day, the missing closure Llafranc hotel until after Christmas. There remains yet one more visit to this beautiful corner forward. The place is special for my mother. Here, a newcomer like so many others around the year 60, was working a few seasons, serving in some other house. Many years have passed, but she kept great memories of those years. Should be to please you? :) So be ...

Formigues
From here the show a pretty picture. The sea is calm and gives me this beautiful picture ...

Bonita "right? I love it. And this too ...

I continue. Before the break to rain hard I get to Tamariu. A few miles separate me from my destiny and I must hurry! On the way some are mostly maintained cormorants perched on the rocks without fleeing along the sea ...

are almost two in the afternoon. The rain speaks to me in a rainbow before coming to Tamariu ...

And some rock formations show their beauty. Can anyone explain the cause of such precious seam between the ocher-green color?

Just before entering Tamariu, a beautiful bay, white house included. This is the cove Pedrosa, one of them! Find another in the vicinity of the walls of Montgo, near L'Escala ...

few meters then entered Tamariu. Hard rain and cold and do something. Nothing better to take refuge and enjoy a delicious dish, a cassola arròs to impressing!! :)

course, is a arròs for two people. Because I'm worth it! ;) Here

put an end to the navigation of this day. The forecasts also show me the next day will be a dry day. F6 north forecasts are recommended not to fight the wind, especially considering that I spend out Begur, one knot more exposed to north winds. I'll stay here for one day and a half, patient, waiting for the sea has given permission to continue enjoying the ride home ...

Here I leave the route of the day!

And here the slide ...

Greetings to all and see you tomorrow! :)
