Jacques Henry Lartigue, the photographer who wanted to catch the happiness


"I was born happy, that help is not it?" French photographer was saying this, that in his nearly 90 year career he never ceased to be considered an amateur. At age 8 received a gift from his father, a great fan of photography, a camera, which is devoted to, thereafter attempted to paint everything that moved, their games, their siblings and friends.

From his earliest years he photographed everything that moved, which made him happy, he seemed fine and served him to fight the passage of time and forgetfulness. The photograph served as a tool to capture the fragility of existence and the brevity of happiness. And with it also reflected their particular vision of women, of a changing world quickly.

son of a wealthy businessman, his photographs reflect the French bourgeoisie of the early twentieth century, but under the guise of happiness, lightness, innocence, spontaneity and joy of life. All his photographs reflect a peaceful world, which shows people enjoying life, having fun or playing constantly.
